Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Or, a helmet Proper between three gouttes two and one Sable, an orle Celeste. Attached above the shield is a Black scroll inscribed "SUSTAIN THE WARRIOR" in Gold.

Symbolism
Gold (Buff) represents the branch color and denotes excellence. The helmet symbolizes military preparedness; the three drops commemorate the battalion's campaigns in Europe during World War II and are black to highlight the mission of petroleum supply. Together, the helmet and "drops of oil" suggest the motto.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 15 August 1997.

That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Army Reserve: From a wreath Argent and Buff, the Lexington Minute Man Proper. The statue of the Minute Man, Captain John Parker (H.H. Kitson, sculptor), stands on the common in Lexington, Massachusetts.
