Shield
Buff and light blue are the colors traditionally used by Quartermaster units. The helmet symbolizes military preparedness; the three drops commemorate the battalion's campaigns in Europe during World War II and are black to highlight the mission of petroleum supply. Together, the helmet and "drops of oil" suggest the motto.
Crest
The crest is that of the U.S. Army Reserve.
